Affordable, Quality Healthcare

"Our healthcare system remains bloated by an inefficient bureaucracy of middle management."

The Problem

We have great doctors, nurses and support staff on the frontlines who are struggling to deliver a quality service to patients thanks to a stifling bureaucracy and blunt cuts to services.

The cost of healthcare has increased at 12 times the rate of inflation in the past decade. Our healthcare system remains bloated by an inefficient bureaucracy of middle management. Waiting lists, emergency department trolley numbers and care for particularly vulnerable groups are getting worse.

Old Politics Failure

Politicians allowed the massive bureaucracy to be created and expand where we should have functioning hospitals. They are now failing to take on and weed out inefficiency and pointless management, instead allowing nurses, midwives, lab technicians and doctors to be sacrificed rather than take on vested interests.

Our country is not so different or our problems so complicated that we cannot have an efficient, well run healthcare system that is easy and affordable to access with quality care. It is the failing of politicians that we do not have this.

The Solution

Aaron’s plan is to unlimber the healthcare system from bureaucracy and special interests and focus solely on patient access, quality of care and containing costs. There are models of hospitals and systems running around the world that are breaking the mould of ever rising costs and declining access that Aaron intends to follow.

Healthcare Is Not Expendable
  • Rebuild the healthcare system from the ground up as a flexible, modern and efficient body
  • Provide healthcare based on real needs, not on arbitrary service targets
  • Reverse spiralling costs by adopting measures from similar countries facing tough economic healthcare challenges
  • Give the proper attention and funding to services for marginalised groups, such as those facing mental health difficulties and the disabled
